Tiana is a contemporary beadwork artist based in Ottawa whose practice reflects her Wendat and Vietnamese heritage. Her work brings together elements of folklore, nature and history, combining references from both cultures through intricate beadwork and bold colour.

She is especially drawn to larger-scale pieces, using colour as a way to celebrate the resilience and adaptability of her ancestors. Her palettes reflect both longstanding artistic traditions and the lasting effects of colonialism, creating works that honour the past while feeling distinctly contemporary.

Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Tiana holds a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Ancient Mediterranean History from the University of British Columbia. She learned to bead in 2022 after returning to Winnipeg, building on years of embroidery experience, and has been dedicated to the medium ever since.
