About

Guy Ghazanchyan’s paintings pulse with raw energy and movement, capturing the eternal tension between constraint and liberation.

His bold, expressive figures explore internal struggles, spiritual journeys and the language of the body, using oil painting to create striking contrasts in shape and tone. His art is not just visual, it is an inquiry into freedom, emotion and the soul’s unrest.

Ghazanchyan’s career took off after a transformative residency in Paris. His international reach includes solo exhibitions in the USA, Germany and Lebanon, with key shows such as Eyewitness at the Yerevan Museum of Contemporary Art and Travelling Without Moving at Latela Art Gallery in Washington, DC.

He has received multiple awards, including the Youth Award of the Armenian President.

His recent works reflect the emotional toll of the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war, channeling themes of resilience and human struggle. Beyond painting, Ghazanchyan has also ventured into bronze sculpture, bringing his dynamic vision to new dimensions.
