About

Gagik Ghazanchyan’s abstract paintings are pure, unrestrained expression, where brushstrokes and colours move freely, dissolving structure and inviting raw emotion. His work rejects predefined meanings, creating open spaces where colour itself becomes a language, leaving interpretation limitless.

Having lived and worked in Wiesbaden, Germany in the 1990s, Ghazanchyan exhibited across Germany, France and Switzerland before holding a personal exhibition at the Artists’ Museum in Washington, DC.

His major exhibitions include Art Contemporain d’Arménie in Paris, the Modern Art Museum of Yerevan, and Instant Images at the Artists’ Union of Armenia, where he was honored with the Presidential Award.

Ghazanchyan’s work is part of the State Art Gallery of Armenia and the Modern Art Museum of Yerevan, solidifying his impact on both Armenian and international contemporary art.
